How to optimize PiCCO thermodilution measurements

PiCCO disposables and cable connections

Ensure correct connection of cables and disposables

Remark:

A central near arterial bolus detection is required, preferably in the femoral artery. Alternatively the brachial or axillary artery or even the radial artery (with a long radial artery catheter) can be used. PiCCO measurements in the peripheral radial artery will not work.
The bolus injection is also possible via a femoral venous catheter.
