Getinge acquires Key Distributor in Ireland As part of the Group's strategy to strengthen its distribution network, Getinge Industrier has acquired all of the shares of Lenken Healthcare (Ireland) Ltd. The company has sales of around SEK 65 Million and 58 employees, with sales offices in both Northern Ireland (Belfast, head office) and the Republic of Ireland (Dublin). Lenken has been a distributor of the group's hygiene system, patient handling and antidecubitus products for over 20 years and has developed a market share of over 50% in Northern Ireland. The future development of the business will focus on increasing its sales and market share in the Republic of Ireland. It is calculated that the acquisition will have a positive impact on the Group's EPS with effect from 2001.
