Full Getinge Surgical Workflows Portfolio Installed at UT Health San Antonio
Today, Getinge announced the first installation of its full Surgical Workflows portfolio in North America at UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, which will open its doors in December 2024.
The installation includes the full spectrum of Getinge’s Surgical Workflows products, spanning Infection Control (washers, sterilizers, and ultrasonics), Surgical Workplaces (OR tables, surgical lights, ceiling supply units), and Digital Health solutions (Torin OR Management, Tegris OR Integration, and T-DOC Instrument Tracking).
Together, these systems are designed to enable seamless workflows across the continuum of care, from the operating room (OR) to the intensive care unit (ICU) and sterile processing department (SPD).
“This project is a big leap forward in improving patient care”, said Stephane Le Roy, President of Getinge Surgical Workflows. “It demonstrates how combining the right technology with efficient workflows can make a real difference, making it easier for healthcare teams to do their jobs and providing better outcomes for patients.”
UT Health San Antonio’s new facility is designed to support a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, equipped with advanced technologies that enhance surgical precision, improve efficiency, and ensure patient safety. This state-of-the-art environment reflects a shared vision to redefine healthcare standards and position San Antonio as a hub for innovation in medical care.
“We look forward to continuing to provide tailored solutions that effectively address the unique challenges faced by today’s hospitals,” said Patricia Fitch, President of Getinge North America.
