Embracing Getinge’s purpose
Meet Alisa Stafford, an Office Administrator at Getinge who recently took on a new challenge by stepping in front of the camera to represent the company’s purpose to make life-saving technology accessible to more people.
When asked what inspired her to participate in Getinge’s company video, Alisa shared:
“I was intrigued by the idea of using employees to showcase how deeply our purpose impacts people. It’s not just about the products we create – it’s about the lives we touch.”
The theme of darkness versus light resonated deeply with her.
“When patients face life-threatening situations, it’s hard for them to see a way forward. Getinge’s commitment to being a source of light and hope is what inspired me the most during this project,” she says. “Playing this role gave me a unique perspective. It highlighted how personal and profound our work at Getinge really is. We don’t just provide solutions; we provide hope in moments of fear and uncertainty.”
Although stepping into the role took her out of her comfort zone, Alisa found the experience rewarding.
“The professionalism and patience of the Getinge communications team and production crew created such a supportive environment. I’d absolutely recommend participating in something like this to my colleagues – it’s a great way to see another side of our company and yourself.”
For Alisa, the emotional depth of the video stood out the most.
“The way the video captured raw emotions – fear, hope, joy – was truly moving. It’s a powerful representation of the difference Getinge makes.”
When asked about Getinge’s purpose, Alisa shares her pride. “I appreciate how dedicated we are to making life-saving technology accessible to more people. It’s meaningful to be part of a company with such an important purpose.”
Would she consider acting again? “Let’s just say I’m not quitting my day job anytime soon,” she laughs. “But if the opportunity came up, I’d definitely give it another shot.”
