Getinge expands its presence in Vietnam
Getinge has been present in Vietnam for more than 40 years through distributors. Now, the global medtech company expands the footprint by establishing its own legal entity, Getinge Vietnam.
“Vietnam is the upcoming market where we see great possibilities to continue growing our presence”, says Philippe Rocher, Regional President of Getinge South Asia Pacific. “By establishing our own legal entity, we build the infrastructure to serve more customers and to deliver better clinical and technical service on a long term.”
Getinge offers products and solutions for both Hospitals and Life Science institutions. The portfolio consists of products for intensive care, operating rooms, cardiovascular procedures, sterile reprocessing for Hospitals, and pharmaceutical production, research laboratories for Life Science. The Company has several distributors in Vietnam and will continue to work closely with them.
With this expansion, the Company is looking for new employees to support the business, especially within the clinical and technical service areas. Recently Mr Nam Hoang has been appointed as Country Director for Getinge Vietnam.
Mr Nam has over 30 years proven experience within the healthcare business in Vietnam.
In his new role, Mr Nam will manage the overall Getinge business to further support the service, sales and marketing activities and ultimately, to further increase customer satisfaction.
“I have previously worked for Getinge as a distributor and I am excited to now take on this new role”, says Mr Nam. “We will work closely with our customers and business partners to achieve and maintain a leading market position, offering high-quality products and value added services in the most effective way”.
